Udupi Madhwa Brahmana Sabha (Kerala) was founded by late Shri K. Bhima Bhattar in 1976 at Tripunithura. He was the First President and was later elevated to the position of Chief Patron of the Sabha, by H.H. Shri Viswesa Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Pejawar Mutt. According to "Keralolpathy", Lord Parasurama brought Brahmins from the North and entrusted the 64 Villages of Kerala under their control. In the beginning, Kerala's boundary starts from Gokarnam to reach upto Kanyakumari. The 64 villages cited above were divided into two parts, ie., 32 villages from Gokarnam to Kannapuram of Tulunadu and the rest from Payyannoor to Chengannoor of Cochin and Travancore.

All Kerala Udupi Madhwa Brahmin’s Youth Movement (AKUMBYM)
The need of forming a Youth Organization came to our mind in way back 2003. UMBS with the able leadership of Shri.B.Girirajan expressed his concerns on the youth of Madhwa Brahmins over the activities happening in various branches of Kerala. It happened in July 18th 2004.
All Kerala Udupi Madhwa Brahmin’s Youth Movement (AKUMBYM) was formed by Madhwa youths to Unite and work together with the sole aim to facilitate the well being of our young generation. With the support of the various units, the Central committee of the AKUMBYM was formed in the Cultural Capital of Kerala, Tripunithura, the royal town. The association has been registered as No. E.R.654/09 under the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955.
The Journey began and is continuing under the various leaders of different units across Kerala. Various projects are initiated and conducted for developing the cultural and social talents of the youth. The Journey is being continued….
PANCHANGAM We, the Udupi Madhwa Brahmana Sabha (Kerala) have brought out and published a Calender for observance of rites and rituals according to the Madhwa Cult and Customs for the period 14-04-2009 to 14-04-2010. This Calender is brought out based on "UDUPI SREEKRISHNA MUKHYAPRANA PANCHANGOM" approved by the Udupi Sreekrishna Mutt, Udupi. All the rites and rituals of Udupi Sree Krishna Temple are observed and performed according to this Calender. H.H. Shri Viswesa Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Pejawar Adhokshaja Mutt, in his message to all Udupi Madhwa Brahmins of Kerala, has requested to take this Calender as the authenticated one to perform their rites, rituals and other religious practices, henceforth.
